Help translating Norwegian from bygdebok

This comes from a bygdebok (Kvinesdal, Vest-Agder, Norway) in entry for Anna Nilsdatter. She was married 1842 to Tønnes Ommundsen Kalstøl. Later married to Velle Vellesen from Sirdal. [this is my connection.]

This is the explanation:

"Ho blei gift opp att med Velle Vellesen frå Sirdal. Dei fostrs opp Tønnes <målar>, som budde på Egeland dei sist åra, og dødde der."

Google translate: "She got married to Velle Vellesen. They were raised Tønnes "painters," who bid on Egeland last year, and died there.

Clearly the Google translation is not quite right. Can anyone help me with the second sentence?

She was married again to Velle Vellesen from Sirdal. They fostered Tønnes (painter), who lived at Egeland his last years and died there.
