Is the Croation city of Vinkovce/Vincovci/Cibalae (Latin) covered in the 1828 Hungarian Land Census
I've been unable to find the FHL film that contains the subject census data for Vinkovci. I've looked at the list of counties/cities in the catalog entry several times and can't find it in the listing. Can anyone help?

I think it wasn't included: it was just over an invisible line that made it part of the military border-regiment's area (határőrvidék: border-guard-region) rather than Slavonia proper. For example, the First Military Survey map (1781-83) for Slavonia (Provinz Slavonien) has the relevant area blank except for a label: "Theil des Brooder Regiments"; the area is detailed instead on the "Slawonische Militärgrenze" map (https://maps.arcanum.com/hu/map/firstsurvey-slavonia-mf/?bbox=2089291.576758145%2C5664025.692022661%2C2103805.057503793%2C5669118.309032161&map-list=1&layers=156).
Lipszky's Repertorium (1808) has a column for "county, district, or regiment"; for Vinkovcze (https://digitalia.lib.pte.hu/hu/lipszky-janos-repertorium-locorum-objectorumque-in-xiii-tabulis-1808-2532#page/744/mode/1up), it says "R. Brodense", which it translates (from Latin into German) as "Brooder Regiment". In contrast, Vukovár has "C. Syrmiensis" in that column (on page 754). On the accompanying map, Vinkovcze is in section VIII, in the fifth row, third column (https://maps.hungaricana.hu/en/HTITerkeptar/415/view/?pg=7&bbox=-25%2C-2637%2C1583%2C-1754). Julia - thank you so much for your quick and very helpful answer! The Slawonische Militärgrenze map is wonderful and 1780 was the same year that my people first showed up in Diakovar, which is visible on the map in Verocze County with roads between there and Vinkovce where I'm hoping to find them ealier and later. I'm going to take a look at the other links you provided tomorrow. Thanks again for your very kind assistance!
