Do you have some free time? I received an email this morning for a great genealogy project.
"Would you be interested in becoming part of a GENEALOGICAL COMMUNITY SERVICE PROJECT??
Especially if it was something you could do at your own speed and on your own schedule - from within the comfort of your own home??
We are currently looking for people who have expertise with FamilySearch Memories and can help us tag/link copies/transcripts of Family Bibles to the family in FamilySearch FamilyTree who originally owned the bible.
This will help ensure that important family genealogical information is preserved for descendants of such families.
We would LOVE to have YOU share with us your expertise in using Family Search Memories to accomplish this service project." http://yanceyfamilygenealogy.org/family_bible_chasers.htm
The current project is located on FamilySearch at https://www.familysearch.org/photos/gallery/album/661389

What a wonderful project! It's much like indexing, yet in many of those cases, much more personalized.

I also often go on eBay and look for photos and family bibles to link the images to their families. You can save the images from eBay and then upload them to their families on FamilySearch. Many times these records will go to collectors and unless someone links them to their family they might be lost forever.
