Geller/Galer Family immigrated from Ukraine
My paternal great-grandfather Morris Geller/Galer was born in Olevsk, Zhytomyr, Ukraine in 1876. He immigrated with his family to Boston in 1905. How might I research records in Ukraine?

There are research resources listed at the top of this group that you may want to consider looking at. The immigration/emigration records are generally a great resource.
Here is the link to the Russian Wiki https://www.familysearch.org/en/wiki/Russia_Genealogy. You will notice that the Immigration/Emigration link is on the right.

Please provide more information on the family, such as wife and children names if known. There are quite a few immigration/naturalization records for people named Morris Geller and some family trees. Do I understand correctly that the family was Jewish? There is a metric book for Olevsk in Zhytomir archive 67-3-610 uploaded to wikisource https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/a/ad/%D0%94%D0%90%D0%96%D0%9E_67-3-610._1876-1889._%D0%9C%D0%B5%D1%82%D1%80%D0%B8%D1%87%D0%BD%D0%B0_%D0%BA%D0%BD%D0%B8%D0%B3%D0%B0_%D1%94%D0%B2%D1%80%D0%B5%D1%97%D0%B2_%D0%BC._%D0%9E%D0%BB%D0%B5%D0%B2%D1%81%D1%8C%D0%BA._%D0%9D%D0%B0%D1%80%D0%BE%D0%B4%D0%B6%D0%B5%D0%BD%D0%BD%D1%8F.pdf
which covers years 1876-1889, I've quickly scrolled though it (the left part in Russian) but did not find any Gellers, closest probably were Gil on page 106 and Gilman on page 188. If you can read Hebrew, you can take a look at the right side yourself to verify. Also it doesn't really have births from 1876, it rather starts with a mix of 1873 and 1876 weddings and then goes on with 1877 births, but I wasn't looking for Moshe/Moses, just for the last name.
