Looking for help trying to understand where to begin trying to interpret some records
I found some records from a Serbian Orthodox church in modern day Croatia in a Parish I know some of my ancestors lived, but I'm having a hard time getting started with the records. I first tried to type out the Serbian Cyrillic and translate it into English, but there are a lot of characters that aren't in the Serbian alphabet, so I'm pretty sure it is Church Slavonic. My question would be, can anyone verify this? And does anyone have any resources that would help me get started translating the Church Slavonic?

It is Old Church Slavonic, and there are primers on the alphabet that can be found online. Reading the handwriting is another matter that I would leave for somebody else. I do have a contact in country that might be able to help (I know that she reads the Old Glagolitic script, used in Catholic records up until 1600s-1700s. DM me if you'd like her contact info. You likely have an independent verification of the fact specific to your family, but Serbian Orthodox has certainly not been the majority religion in Croatia (Catholic). Just wanted to make sure you were looking into the correct books.
