Help, trying to see if there are any Synagogue records from Szinna Hungary?

I am looking for any records from the Klenova, Zemplen/Szinna area.

I have family from there and I have found their information in a 1969 Census. I am trying to see if I can find any other family in the area. Jakubovics is the name I am searching for and Samonovics. Thanks for your insights.

Thank you for your time,

Liz

    The gazetteers agree that there was a Jewish congregation in Szinna, and that that's where residents of Klenova/Kelen were recorded, but FS doesn't appear to have any of those records. Dvorzsák indicates that the next level up of Jewish administration for the area was headquartered in Homonna (Humenné). FS does have some of the Homonna congregation's records; it's a long shot, but you could try checking them.

    @Beth Jamison

    Have you explored the databases at JewishGen.org?

    Yes, I have spent a lot of time in JewishGen. It is a fantastic resource as long as the information is published.
