Help on Swedish Immigration Tracing from Sweden to Liverpool to Boston 1900
Hi, I am tracing a relative who immigrated to Boston in 1900 from Sweden. I have him fully traced from the household records saying exactly when he left for Amerika. I believe I have him on a passenger list at Liverpool for a specific date and ship but he's not listed when the ship arrives in Boston. There is no record I can find showing him in Boston at this time. I've check the Gothenburg departures for England and he is not recorded. I've checked all the ships records for ships departing Liverpool to Boston around his departure time frame including all passengers by scanning the passenger lists rather than relying on a search. I know he made it to Boston as he gets married in 1908. So here is my Sweden related question - am I missing any other resource that might help me trace him from his home in Sweden to Liverpool to America. Is there any entry control records in England or exit records in Sweden. Any help is appreciated.

I am assuming you used his site…. https://www.ancestry.com/search/collections/1910/ …to search for passenger lists?

When people emigrated from Scandinavia they could either take a direct line, or and indirect line.
The indirect route was primarily for Scandinavians:
From Sweden: Gothenburg-Hull
From Denmark-Norway: Copenhagen - Christania (Oslo) - Hull
From Northern Germany: Hamburg - Hull OR Bremen - Hull.
Then you took trains from Hull to Liverpool and went from there [if for instance Cunard Line]:
Liverpool - Queenstown (Ireland) - New York - Boston.
So if you have him in Liverpool he could have arrived from Denmark, Norway or Germany [wherever you got the best prize]
He could potentially have stopped in New York (to see the sites) and possibly gone to Boston later?
So check Ellis Island arrivals....
Also check the Danish "Udvandreprotokollerne": https://www.udvandrerarkivet.dk/udvandrerprotokollerne/
Many Swedes went through Copenhagen......
