Family Bibles of Nordic Countries
are any of you aware of resources that contain info
on Family Bibles specifically for Nordic countries?

I know that people in the Nordic countries often did have bibles, but I have never seen them be used for genealogical purposes nor have I ever seen them right their genealogy in them as Americans would. Often Nords could read but struggled to write.

I did some searching, and I wasn't able to find any sort of compiled resource that has a collection of Family Bibles, unfortunately. There may be a resource out there, I just am unable to find one.
If you're looking for a specific family bible, I know of individuals who have found an occasional Bible for sale on sites like eBay (or Nordic equivalents).

in the 1700's literacy wasnt that great here in America either
the bible was often one of the few things people had to read
and people could normally sign their name - but that didn't mean they were good at writing.
