Swedish Translation Request
I'm trying to find additional information on my great, great grandmother Carolina Fogel. I have the birth record and baptismal record of her daughter (my great grandmother) Augusta Charlotta - born 24 Feb, 1862 in Heda, Östergötland, Sweden. I have attempted to translate the record to get additional information on Carolina but am a complete novice and not doing very well. Could some one translate the records for me?
Below is a snippet of her birth record which can be found at the following link: https://www.ancestry.com/sharing/28799411?h=78ca54
This snip is of her baptismal record. I'm particularly interested in what is says after her mother's name and then the witness names and information:
I was sent this record by a now deceased relative and unfortunately I don't have a link to the document on line.
Any assistance if very much appreciated.
Thank you,
Darlene Bills

I am not sure how much assistance you need or want, but here are some links to household examination records showing Carolina Fogel at the time of Augusta Charlotta's birth and then following Carolina back to 1842:

Thank you both so much! This is a wealth of information. I
Norm, my relative had made reference to the Swedish National Archives which you linked to. Is there information somewhere on how to search the database or do you have to go page by page looking? I would love to find Carolina's birth record. She was born in Vastra Stenby, Östergötland on either May 1st or 11th, 1820.
Also, would you mind translating the information on the marriage record for me? The bridegrooms name looks to me to be Peter Jaensson (as well as the other records) but I see another record on family search that has him listed as Jansson so not sure I'm looking at it correctly.
Again, the assistance is very much appreciated.

The marriage record reads:
Column No. 1: Peter Jaensson and Carolina Fogel (entry) No. 4 for 1841.
Column No. 2: (Date of the marriage) 22 June.
Column No. 3: Brudg[gum] Tjenstdräng frå Häggestad Rusthåll / Bruden Tienstepiga i Wallby Skattegard = groom (is) a male servant from Häggestad Ruståll / the bride (is) a maid servant in Wallby Skattegard.
Under her name are the dates that the banns were read: 9, 16 and 23 May 1841.
Column No. 4: This is the first marriage for both of them.
Column No. 5: He is 30 years old and she is 21 years old.
Column No.6: This is probably the price they paid to get married but I am not sure how much it is-12 of something.
The names Jaensson and Jansson (Jänsson) are the same name. Names were spelled that way the person writing the name thought they should be spelled and there isn't really a wrong or right spelling. See this article on Sweden Personal Names (especially "Interchangeable First Names"): https://www.familysearch.org/en/wiki/Sweden_Personal_Names.

I can't thank you enough for the assistance you both provided in locating these records!! I've spent the afternoon updating my family tree and adding the source documents to all the individuals. The translations will help me as I continue on in my Swedish ancestry.
