Found certificate in Find My Past but not in Family Search
I have a transcribed marriage certificate from 1878 from Find My Past. I want to attach it to the Family Search tree. Is there a way to use the Find My Past record to help me find the same thing on Family Search? Is the Page or Archive reference useful? I have plugged in names, dates and places without luck. Thanks! @hgriffiths Are you wanting to attach the copy from Find My Past to your FamilySearch tree or are you wanting to be able to attach a FamilySearch record because it's easier for most people to access? Not everything found on Find My Past is found on FamilySearch, even though they are a FS partner. The best place to find out what's on FamilySearch is the catalog:
From the search menu, click on catalog. For the U.S., civil marriage records are usually at the county level, church records at the town or city level. Put in the appropriate place name, then search. In the results, click on vital records to see what they have.
If you are wanting to just attach the copy from Find My Past, use a great free tool called Record Seek. It is as easy as dragging it up to your toolbar and it's done. Here is a minute and a half video that shows you how: How to Download RecordSeek
