Christensen, Christen birth and christening 1755.jpg

This record, https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3QSQ-G944-29RJ-D?i=98, corresponds to Christen Christensen Bindslevv, 1755 – 23 February 1826, LYH7-DG5. I have highlighted the entry I believe is his birth/christening record. Is someone able to translate this for me. I am unsure why his surname would be Bindslevv because it appears to be his birth location.

Thanks, Elaine

    "Dom[ini] 3tie Post Trinitatis [15. June 1755].

Bapt: Christen Marmises barn af Nørre Bindsløv [Baptised Christen Marmis' child of Nørre Bindslev]

Nom: Christen [Christensen]. [Named Christen; and patronym would be Christensen].

Testes [witnesses]: Maren Christensdatter af Barckholt, Maren Thomasdatter af Nørre Bindsløv, Christen Pedersen ibid [same place], Niels Jensen ibid, Niels Nielsen af Sønder Bindsløv.

He is also mentioned already in 1745.

    Domini 4te Adventis [19. December 1745].

Bapt: Else Kaasis barn Nom: Christen [Christensen] [Else Kaas' child named Christen]

Udlagt som dends barnefader Christen Marmis. [Named father of the child is Christen Marmis]

Source (page 88, left mid): https://www.sa.dk/ao-soegesider/da/billedviser?epid=17121688#160158,26921365

NB: So Christen Marmis had a child outside marriage [but did he later marry this Else Kaas?]

It's like 50% of all males in Bindslev are called Christen

NB: Christen Christensen (born 1755) is NOT named Bindslev at birth.

You never get the name of the parish you still live in [because that will not identify you in the community] .

He would only be called Bindslev, when he moved away from there (but close enough that people still know of Bindslev; had he moved far away to Sjælland, he would have been known as "Jyde" (Jutlander).

He father is likely not a local because of his name "Marmis". [No such place name seems to exists in Hjørring Amt]

It seems that Bindslev Sogn sadly doesn't have betrothals not marriages preserved from that period....
