7 generation to 8th generation
I am currently trying to make the jump from my 7th generation back to the 8th. I have the paper trail from John Davies and his son David Davies in Wales unto the Town of Aberproth Wales in 1801. I am looking for the Wife of John Davies and his parents. I have just done the Y-testing and waiting for the Results back from the 700. The Group David/Davies/Davis has 1200+ members in it. What is the best course of action when starting as a new bee in matching the DNA with the paper Records? I believe that this time frame will also cause problems with the Patronymic naming system. My Fathers line also goes into Silesian before the 1850's but it is not a direct line. What would be the best DNA test be for this Line?
