If you know the island or islands where your grandfather's family lived you might want to click on Pacific Islands Research Links which provides links to a great deal of online genealogy information specific to a specific Pacific Island or group of islands.
You could also click on the following Family Tree link in FamilySearch and enter names or ID numbers if you have them for your grandfather's family and see what comes up: Search the Family Tree • FamilySearch
Another suggestion would be to do a more general search in FamilySearch under all Historical Records entering names and any known dates and locations that you are aware of by clicking on the following link: Search Historical Records • FamilySearch
