Where is Emriscal, Donegal?
An obituary for William Collins (1806-1884) says that he was born in the parish of Emriscal, Donegal. He immigrated to the United States and lived in Wayne County, Ohio. I have checked Irish townlands, but have not found a match. I wonder if the spelling is incorrect -- perhaps based on how the "real" name sounds rather that how it is spelled. Does anyone have any idea what the parish might be?
Thank you for your help.

@MargaretCavanaugh1 Here is a list of parishes in Donegal, however, I don't see a town called Emriscal.
https://www.johngrenham.com/browse/county_civil.php?county=Donegal County Donegal is in Northern Ireland on the west coast. So far, I am not finding the parish of Emriscal anywhere in County Donegal not in the civil or catholic parishes. @OConnorAnne1 @anthonyphilipclarke1 any thoughts?

The nearest I could come up with is Errigal, a mountain near Gweedore in Co Donegal. Beautiful part of the world.

There is no such place called Emriscal in Donegal nor in any other part of Ireland there is a place called Errigal in Donegal which suggest they may have the spelling wrong or wrong information. there is a Village near the mountain of Errigal called Dunfanaghy . they need to go back and check the information have.
