Any general death date lists for Italy, or any cemetery lists?
I have a distant cousin who shares my Italian ancestry from Genoa. She is French, and she asked me if Italy has any equivalent to the French INSEE, which is a searchable list for almost everyone who died in French territories since 1970. It gives names and death dates. She also asked if there are any cemeteries in Italy that have published lists of those buried there.
Does anyone have any info on these two questions? Thank you!

I'm afraid there is no equivalent nationwide death register in Italy. Finding information on modern people (post-1940) is very difficult indeed.
Cemeteries in Italy maintain burial records, but these are rarely searchable directly by the public. You'd have to check the specific cemetery website or contact the specific cemetery you are interested in.

Thank you for your response. That it what I expected, unfortunately. A few years ago, I was able to go to the cemetery of my great-grandmother, and they allowed me to look at their original hand-written register. I DID find her listed and her burial date, even though she was buried in a communal grave! She died in 1885.
