What is this word? - indexing

Hi friends! Can anyone tell me what this word is? I keep running across it while indexing. Here are two examples.

The first word is what I can't read, followed by их. I keep thinking сосед, but that doesn't seem right.

That's right, it is written: сосед их (their neighbor).

Just to add a small note, this is definitely "соседъ ихъ" and if record is from current Ukraine then it's an official term that has been used for people who sold their land and moved in to a house belonging to estate owned by someone more successful and then paid part of their harvest to the owner.
