Marriage Record in Ontario
This marriage record is the only record we have of Barbara McKenzie's 9MD8-HFR parents, Duncan and Christina McKenzie. I can't find them on a census. We have no knowledge of siblings. I wonder what we are missing.

Could there be alternative names for Duncan and Christina (who sometimes goes by Christy)?
Do we assume they were both alive in 1884, since their names are on this document?
We have not been able to show a relationship to Donald, but there are many McKenzie's in Bruce County.
I'm hoping someone with experience in Ontario research might have a hint.

I answered one of my own questions. The father of the groom is listed on this document and he had passed away in 1855, so we cannot assume that Duncan and Christina were alive at this time, even though they are listed as Barbara's parents.

Looking into census information for Angus C Smith I found that Barbara McKenzie’s full name was Margaret Barbara McKenzie or Margaret Barbara Smith following her marriage to Angus C. Smith. The following is a link to her death certificate.

I also found a listing for Duncan, Christy and family in the 1871 Canada Census and have attached a copy.
