Correcting this should be fairly straightforward. However, you will need to confirm the exact relationship in which this couple have been added to your relative. If they appear as another set of parents for him, you need to click on the pencil icon by his name, when viewing him as a child of these incorrect parents. From there, you just need to remove his relationship to them. Where his name is showing as the "Child", just click on "Remove or Replace" and follow the instructions from there.

If his (incorrect) relationship to this couple is not so simple, you will need to provide more details, or, if willing, share the ID concerned, so someone can guide you through the process.

It sounds like you have a Couple relationship or a Child-Parent relationship that has been incorrectly added? If that is correct then these two help articles will help guide you in making the correction after you carefully evaluate the situation. If you do remove a relationship, be sure to give a detailed explanation of your reasoning for making the change.

Thanks Chas, I had a look at the two articles you suggested but I don't think this will do the correction. Somebody has added a husband and wife plus their 11 children to the profile of a person who is part of my family tree.

The husband and wife of the added family have the same first names and surnames and country of birth as the parents of my great great great uncle...... this is where the similarities end.

Can you offer any other suggestions that might correct this

    Thanks
