Help with a Dutch birth record
The record in question is the sixth one from the top for Berentt tee Walvar. I can make out some of this but it's really hard to read. Please, confirm what I think I can read and attempt to translate what I don't know
- Berentt tee Walvar is the father?
- The son's name is Hÿndrÿch?
- I really cannot tell if there is a date in here. Or is the date at the top after the year 16 March? If so, do you think there were multiple baptisms on this one date? I see April a little ways down the page.
- Does the rest of this record deal with sponsors?
THANKS!

- Yes
- The son is Hijndrijck
- There are no dates after the header, so presumably these people were all baptized on the same day. Halfway down is a header with the date 1 April 1676, so perhaps baptism was only offered about once a fortnight in that church and all children born since the last baptism ceremony were done together. That is possible in a Protestant denomination that, unlike Catholics at the time, did not consider it necessary to baptize a newborn child ASAP.
- I think so, that is also how Gelders Archief's index has interpreted it. Who else could it be?

@A van Helsdingen & @Steve Schell
The interpreter at Gelders archief made a mistake. The page of target and the ancestor that is proposed, is on page 86, ...6th entry , and then, obvious=> " Berentt Tee Walvar , vader-,zoon Hijndrijck(h) and witnesses.The exact date is a give-away on the header page 86 and says 16 march 1676. I am a native reader , and yes baptisms came in batches sometimes.

I assume the mistake you are referring to is the fact it is indexed as page 84; you seem to agree with the entirety of the transcription.
Page 84 does not necessarily correspond to image 86. The first two images contain no baptisms so it would make sense for image 3 to be page 1.

Very correct, altough i have a remark , Tee = Ten like say in Ten huize van (at the home of) but the scribe writes clearly Tee. Walvaer is an old spelling for Walvar; please keep in mind however that the stroke of a real plume with smeared ink can be a nasty stroke and many lines are bled out's or bleed trough's..but this as an aside.
Yes , pagina-Folio/some recto-verso,some have other content or inlays like say legal stuff,..one has to browse the forest sometimes and that adds a feature,a sentence or word not readable on one page , can be clearly readable on another.Interesting , is to browse in time-forks , look up one year in particular,search for January and December to bridge, and you know you are in the next year (readable or not) start again to look for January to bridge ..etc
