Preferred Parent confusion
I had a ward member contact me saying that she had her mom and biological parents as preferred, which showed up on the detail page, but when you go to her fan chart, it has her mom and stepdad as her parents. Also, when she goes to do temple names, she always gets names from her stepdad's side, not her mom's. Can anyone help me with this?

@Tamalyn Lively According to this Help Center article: https://www.familysearch.org/en/help/helpcenter/article/how-do-i-set-the-preferred-spouse-or-parents, your ward member should see only the preferred parents in pedigree views, including the fan chart. If that is not working as it should, it would be wise to contact support directly using contact information found here: https://www.familysearch.org/en/fieldops/familysearch-support-contact-us. Or you can post the problem in Community. Click FamilySearch Help and then Family Tree. It would be best for your ward member to make the contact. Support is going to need her FamilySearch username so that they can look at her tree.
As for looking for temple names, is she using Ordinances Ready to find ancestors who are ready for temple ordinances? If so, the system is simply looking for names of individuals related to her in any way. Perhaps more ancestors on her stepdad's line are needing work than on her mom's side. That particular feature does not limit itself based on the preferred parent.
