Rå och rör under Gillanda is the note to the left of Ramberg. This is an old term. Can anyone provide a translation or insight as to what it actually means? Thanks

    Found an explanation: https://forum.rotter.se/index.php?topic=127227.0

= So "rå och rör" are the boundary markers (poles or stones) between farms.

I think I found an transcription of the text: http://runeberg.org/ladal/0519.html

It was a "säteri" [Great-Farm of nobles who had tax-freedom] that was called Gillanda from 1681.

So they had 1/4 in Fulska a 1/4 in Ramborg and 1/4 in Åsen [called Lilla Fuska (note 9)]

You have also these three important terms appearing further below.

Skattehemman. [The land was owned by the farmer (self-ownership), but had to pay rent to the crown]

Cronehemman. [The land was owned by the crown and the user had to pay rent to the crown]

Frälsehemman. [Either owned by the farmer (self-ownership) and had to pay rent to a nobleman OR the land was owned by the nobleman and the user had to pay rent to the nobleman]

What they mean can be seen here: https://1719.se/krono-skatte-och-frlsehemman
