Non-digital Croatian record collections
Hello!
I'm looking for information on record collections in Sibenik, Croatia for 1985. A friend is looking into a missing brother and he's not sure if he's looking for a death record or an adoption (possibly illegal). We figured we'd start with the death to see if we can rule it out before going down an adoption rabbit-hole.
We have the date, the mother, and the hospital; if anyone has any insights on what record collections might be available, we'd appreciate it.

Firstly, there are no online records for this time period due to privacy laws in Croatia.
The only way is to check directly with Maticni ured ( Registrar's Office ). If your friend is living in Croatia, he can request the documents in any Maticni ured in Croatia, not only in Sibenik.
