Why would the surname change from Adamson to Edison? Could this be right?
After using Adamson for years the oldest one is Edison

@Pat Lowe this is a very good question. I went to FindMyPast using the last name as Edisone as there was nothing under Adamson this is what I found. The dates match as well as the place for the christening of the date and place in FamilySearch and the father's name is George. I wonder if someone put his last name incorrect in FamilySearch. I hope this helps

Could this have come about through a mishearing. Adamson could sound like Edison with a more refined accent.
