    Need Japanese Kanji Interpreted

    Hi all,

I have some family documents that need interpreting. My mom is from Okinawa and I haven't had any of her family history, until my daughter traveled there with her. My mom's brother gave my daughter copies of several papers which he said is their family history. Is there someone that can advise on this, or know someone who could help?

    Thank you.

    Mike

      Mike,

I would be happy to help you out. I think what your uncle gave your daughter is what we call "Koseki" (family register). How can I get your contact address?

We have a 15 generation scroll from Okinawa that we need translation help with. Could someone contact us so that we can see how to proceed?

I have a family tree written in English and Kanji. However, I believe the English translation is incorrect. It has my grandmother, Kame Yamashiro (second daughter)and her father with the same name and different kanji.
