Indexed as Lars. I am just trying to see how they get Lars out of these letters.

I would agree that the name is Lars. If you compare with bar det just below you see the same shape of -ar-. The ending -s is similar to Anders in the line below or hustrus in the line above. Unfortunately there is no other capital L in this snippet to compare with.

@Ulrich Neitzel Thank you so much for this second look. I trust your judgement. It would be so nice to be able to really read and understand Swedish while doing this research. But I keep plugging along and doing the best I can. I do really appreciate this helpful moments.
