What do these household survey remarks say?
I am researching Pehr Jonasson, PID KCFF-1JS, 1826-1884, Stångby, Malmöhus, Sweden. I have a feeling he is going with the family trend....
___ in Torna Harad's Rote d. 29/10 1872 fod 1st gangea snattiri. abfalu d 4/7 1973
??Arrested and tried in Torna Harad's court on 27/10 1872 for 1st time shoplifting. Absolved 4/7/1873.
If that is what it says...I am not finding the arrest in Torna och Bara häradshäkte (Prison archives). Is there a different set of records I should be looking in? Here is the following comment in the next survey.
- Sweden, Malmöhus Church R...541-1918; index 1646-1860
- Stångby församling
- A I Husförhörslängder
- 17, 1882-1894

Hello Karen,
the images in your first post showed up now 🙃 but I prefer to answer one by one.
Your interpretation is quite correct; here is my transcription:
Dömd vid Torna Härad's Rätt d. 29/10 1872 för 1st gången snatteri. absolv. d 4/7 1973
Translation:
Sentenced in Torna district court on 27/10 1872 for 1st time shoplifting. Absolved 4/7/1873.
