I am hoping someone might be able to tell me the name of the Hungarian town listed on this naturalization record! I’m working in a family tree for a friend but I have not found any place in Hungary that comes remotely close to this name. Ancestry has transcribed it as Agreshat, but I doubt that is correct. Thank you in advance!

The closest I can find is Egreshát in Ung county, which was previously called Vulsinka or sometimes Volosanka, and is now Vil'shynky, Ukraine. It was a Ruthenian village with a Greek Catholic church locally. Dvorzsák's gazetteer also reports 38 Jewish residents, who were recorded in Perecseny (now Perechyn, Ukraine). The civil registry office was in Kisturicza (later Kisturjaszög, now Turychky, Ukraine).

The earliest gazetteer that lists the place with its Hungarianized name is the 1907 one, so if the naturalization is from earlier than that, or if the other details don't fit the person (for example, if he was neither Greek Catholic nor Jewish), then perhaps an arrival record could give an idea for what part of the country to look in.
