I searched the FamilySearch catalog for Jersey City in Hudson County consisted among other items Church Records. The Church records had entries for St. Paul's Church. These records are not indexed so it was necessary to browse them by searching for dates coinciding with the information you provided. You should be able to find records for both of these children.
