Hi, Can anyone please help me find out about my father. Josip benakic born 17 march 1930. My birth certificate says father born in Nova Kapela Yugoslavia and his death certificate in 1994 says born Donji Lipovac. He had a concentration camp tattoo on his forarm. I know nothing of his father or mother not even what they look like. I know he escaped to itally and was there approximatley 2 years before entering migration to Australija in 1959 with his sister also dead. But he came by ship Roma and she flew a month prior. I tried facebook the surname in Croatia but they will not respond other than to say Drek Čovek. I think there was 1 0r 2 brothers. He spoke nothing of his past and was violent if you asked. Can anyone help me determin his life before Australia please, photos and information would mean a great deal. Who was he. Why was he so secretive, why was he in concentration camp and not others in his family. Any information of his mother or father. Father was Marko, MIA. mother Reza Saligiak
