Could someone help with this question posted by MaryA

This is my first time using this forum as well. I have many dead ends..I will share one for now. My great grandma, Consiglia Costanzo Paturzo came from Italy in 1881, she lived in Brooklyn, then Manhattan in Hell’s Kitchen area, between 1925(when she’s on a ny census) and 1930 (when I find her on a NJ census) she moved with her daughter and her family to New Jersey..I’m trying to find out where they are buried. Her daughters name is Chiarina “Carrie” Paturzo Ilgandi, on the 1930 census it’s spelled Olgandi sp? That census is wrong in more then one way, as they have her son in law listed as her son, and the wrong immigration date for her. I’ve checked find a grave , no luck thus far.
thanks
Mary

Do you know the exact addresses where she lived in both New York and New Jersey. If so from the addresses found on the census' you can now get a map from the Auto club for instance of that area which shows cemeteries that are the closet to that address, Also If she belonged to an Italian club in these areas and there were many they might have given her a free grave if the family did not have funds for burial. Sometimes that information is included in the death records from the church she belonged to. An area search of both the New York and New Jersey neighborhoods for cemeteries would be necessary. Once you have a list of the cemeteries that are possible write to see if she is buried there. Same with the church they belonged to write to see if they have any records.

You might want to look at this list of records for Eddie Ilgandi.
https://www.familysearch.org/search/record/results?givenname=eddie&surname=ilgandi&birth_place=italy&count=20&offset=0
It looks like Eddie Ilgandi arrived in 1910 to New York. I was surprised that I did not find this family on the 1915 New York Census.
You will find Edward's wife, Carrie listed on his draft card. Their address is also listed:

I am assuming that you found her on the 1925 New York Census? Conseglia Paturzo
in the New York, State Census, 1925
and more Ilgandi family members.
If you do not have the 1925 Census, Type Conseglia Paturzo in the search boxes on this page:
https://www.familysearch.org/search/collection/1937489
This will provide you a link to the Ancestry page for this census. If you do not have an Ancestry account, you might want to see if your local library does.
