The same source listed multiple times
I'm trying to clean up a person's page and see the same source attached multiple times. Is it possible to delete the extras and if so, how? tia

Firstly, I would advise to post such questions at https://community.familysearch.org/en/categories/family-tree in future. This (Family Tree) group is not used very often and it has taken me 11 days before reading your comments.
The answer most users will provide to your query is, no, just leave all these sources attached. They might look the same but examining them in detail (particularly their URLs) will reveal a different source - even if that difference only amounts to two separate filmings of the exact same material. For example, when I look at four baptism records / sources attached to one of my ancestors, I am likely to discover two originate with separate indexing projects of the (same) parish register, one relates to the indexing of the Bishop's Transcript record and the final one is based on a later transcription that was published in book form.
I agree with a number of Family Tree users who feel these multiple records for the same event cause a lot of clutter in the Sources sections of our ancestors / relatives. However, occasionally some do differ slightly (one recording, say, a mother's maiden name, where the other sources do not). Also, if the "duplicates" are detached, or left unattached, they are more likely to be added to an incorrect individual by an inexperienced user.
In summary, painful as it might seem, it is best to leave these sources grouped together, in the Sources section of the ID to which they belong.
