The bride Margaretha Maria Kahl was born and is residing at Roedelheim in the Grand Duchy of Hessen. Birth date 29 [sic!] Feb 1824, age 23 years 4 months, of age daughter of Adolph Kahl, age 68 years, gardener in Roedelheim, and his wife Maria Moebus, age 57 year, the mother here present and giving permission, the father gave written consent.
The couple also legitimized a child born 6 Jan 1846 in Roedelheim named Friedrich Ferdinand Wesel.
Do you have the groom's information?

He has a lot of siblings and we seem getting surer that he is my great great grandfather. May I ask what prompted you to ask if we had his information?
I was thinking you worked at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints' genealogy library in Salt Lake City and that it is closed until all the corona bugs are shaked out. If that is so, I hope you are safe at home. This is my first adventure with an online community of any sort. Is the conversation in this paragraph acceptible or is it too personal?
Thanks again,
Don Wesel

I asked the question because you were only requesting help with the information pertaining to the bride.
The marriage record identified the groom Johann Adam Wesel as an iron and steel wire turner who was exempt from military service. Those details might be of interest to you.
And yes, I work in the Family History Library, but for now we all work from home. Most of what we do can be done online these days, which is a wonderful blessing.
In case you are not aware, there is a printed town genealogy book for Dudenhofen, see http://wiki-de.genealogy.net/Dudenhofen_(Pfalz),_OFB
You are doing fine with the community.

Well, Baerbel, we are also blessed because you can and do work from home. Thank you for that and for the information about Johann Adam Wesel. Does the marriage record https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3Q9M-CSPQ-39JK-G give any "vital" stats on him, such as birth date and place and his parents names? This may seem like a hoped for connection, but if this wire turner really is my great great grampa, his great grandson would be pleased to know he turned wire, because the Roebling who directed the building of the Brooklyn Bridge graduated from the same college my dad did and I believe the Roebling company still makes wire for suspension bridges today. Sincerely, Don

And yes, he was an iron- and steel turner and exempt from military duty as per his military certification paper.
Than you to Charlotte, who answered your question before I could get to it.
