Hello! I'm tackling my first Swedish marriage record, looking for Jons Parsson and Hanna Larsdotter married on the 18 November 1848. I think I found the image on the record, but I can't understand anything but the date. I can't see either name. I was hoping to find any other information about either person, but I'm not sure if Swedish marriage records show their residences or ages. So, my questions are: 1. Do I have the right image? 2. Is there any other information I can get from it? Thanks so much!

You do have the correct image.

    Transcription: "d.18 Nov. Wigdes dr[ängen] ifrån _______ ____ _________ i Wids=skiöf. Jöns Pärs[son]. och pigan Hanna LarsDot[ter]. i Widskiöf[le]".

Translation: "the 18th of November was married the bachelor (or farmhand) in from _______ ___ _____________ in Widskiöfle(Vittskövle) Jöns Pärsson and the maid Hanna Larsdotter in Widskiöfle(Vittskövle)".

I spent a long time yesterday trying to figure out the farm where Jöns came from. The record says it is in Vittskövle parish, but I can't find anything that looks right. The name sort of looks like "__ypa __d Tårpar__" but I don't see anything that looks like that in any of the websites I use to find small places in Sweden.

It is apparent that they were both living in Vittskövle parish when they married.

Wow! You are amazing for doing that and spending all that time. No matter what, it was very helpful! Thank you!
