On this record we find Mathias, born 22 Novbr to "Garver Ole Larsen", Garver translates as Tanner and "Inderstp Mari Kristensd". I see that it is "uagte" or an Illegitimate birth.

THe comments in the last column are of interest: I can recognize 2nd, meaning 2nd child of this unmarried couple. Also says something about Amerika. Can anyone help me flesh out this last column? Thanks in advance!

The comments are: The father's and mother's second "leiermaal", reported by the child's mother. The father is in America where the mother also desires to follow after(?)". I am not entirely sure of the last part after "the father is in America" but I believe that is the meaning.

See here for the definition of "leiermaal/lejermål": https://www.familysearch.org/en/wiki/Norwegian_Genealogical_Word_List#A.

There is an additional version of the record in the parish clerk's book, which says essentially the same thing (fourth entry): https://media.digitalarkivet.no/view/8927/19.

Thank you! onshus.no has this couple as getting married in America, so she did follow him!
