@Ragnhild Nilsine Norton @Carolyn Webber  the CT State Library has lots of genealogy resources, there’s a good selection online also, but I think you need a CT library card. Let me see if I can find anything

@Ragnhild Nilsine Norton can you share some more info with us? The names you’re searching? Do you know if the adoption was handled by an agency? Church? State? The more info you can give us, the better. :)

Did you try the Connecticut links from the right side panel? (If you are on a cell phone, these links are after the posts instead of on the right.)

Ragnhild, were you successful in finding the records that you were seeking?

My brother-in law received the CT link and will contact that office regarding his adoption in 1939. Second dilemma: He was born in Savannah, GA and visited a city or county building there approx 15 years ago trying to locate original birth record. A clerk dug up 3-4 birth records with his exact Savannah birth date from a dusty box in the basement. Unfortunately - at that time he had the wrong names, so did not get any copy and he cannot recall name of the place, just that it was a free standing small brick building and he had to go up to the second floor. Where can we get information on address/phone number of the right office? Those records are not on digitized.
