Maria [Strÿtt] [I'm searching for the names of the parents for Maria/Mareÿ Streit (wife of Hanns Küenzi) who was from the Insel. This baptism record could possibly be for her (although more proof is needed) but there is a discrepancy with the surname. Could Strÿtt be a spelling variation of Streit?

Christina Suter, Christen Lemans sel[ig]. ?id [I can't figure out the last word and "widow" would make sense. Could "?id" be an abbreviation for widow, but the first letter doesn't look like a W? The record I refer to in the first image above (for a different Maria) just shows another example of the word "?id:" listed with the 2nd witness Lea].

That is very helpful to know that Strÿtt and Streit are spelling variations. The baptism record is possibly a piece of the puzzle in finding Maria/Mareÿ's parents! And the translation of the abbreviation is helpful too. Thank you for your answers!

Streit and Strÿtt (Stritt) would be pronounced fairly similarly in dialect ... a bit like (English) "street" ... if spelled "shtreet" 😁.
