Translation of death record year 1778
The source is from FamilySearch: Toten-Rodel, Staatsarchiv Bern, K Kirchdorf 13. The record is on page 54, year 1778, entry 12 for Jost Küenzis (brother of Christian Küenzi in entry 8 on the same page). The death record is a good match to the baptism record in 1777 for Jost Küenzi. The order of the words for the child and father in entry 12 is different than entry 8 and I interpreted Hanns as the father and not a second given name for the deceased child? Also Küenzi has an "s" on the end?

Correct: note the comma after Jost.
Jost, Hanns Küenzis Kind, ... so the child's name would be Jost Küenzi (no s).
