I thought dates were to be day month year. Is there such a thing as a European format. I changed some records to what I believed was a standard genealogical format. This person claims that after the day a period belongs example is 6. 10 1930? I am confused what is right and if I find records with this European date format should I just ignore it? It is just concerning to me to get called out on this.

YW; also keep in mind in European geneology context, that depending on the period we also had the French calender from.....to => see link.
