Finding my parents in India

How do I go about finding records for my parents in India? I have tried like FamilySearch, Ancestry hoping to get something, but nothing is coming up. I have researched FamilySearch Wiki page as well. I have also asked questions in the FamilySearch Community who suggested that I talk to you guys.

Little about me. I was abandoned and put in an Orphanage at 1 1/2 month until I was 9 years of age. I was then adopted by American parents. The only thing I have is the full name of my mother and a partial name for my father.

@jghramm Do you have access to your adoption records? Birth record? Do you know any information about your birth relatives? The name of the agency, church, organization and or attorney that helped with your adoption?

Yes, I have my mother's first name and last name from a document the orphanage gave me. In this document it does tells me of the first orphanage I was at prior going to the second orphanage.

As to the name of agency, church, organization and or attorney I do not have this information.
