Help translating an estate inventory
Would someone be able to help me understand what is said about Per Jönsson, Jöns Nilsson, and a half-brother in this estate inventory? To me it looked like the estate inventory said Jöns Nilsson was in North America, but I believe he had already died by the time this estate inventory was performed.

I don’t read this language, but I have had situations similar to this before. What may be happening is that Jöns Nilsson had already died in North America and this is the estate inventory of assets in which he had an interest (either solely in his name or with others) in “this” country (is “this” country Sweden?) at either the time of his death in North America or someone else’s death in “this” country. I hope this makes sense, and is helpful.

This estate inventory is done after the death of Pernilla Knutsdotter who was married in second marriage with Nils Persson. She has a son Per Jönsson from the first marriage who is present and a son Nils from the second marriage who is said to be in North America and whose rights are guarded by the above-named half-brother Per Jönsson.
Comment: the full name of the second son is not given but should be Nils Nilsson if he is a son of the widower Nils Persson.

Thank you to both of you. I really appreciate your help! The translation helps me understand the relationships involved and who went to America. Yes, the second son was named Nils Nilsson. Thank you very much again!
