@Gina Dellapiana I am confused also. When I looked up the PID #G7FB-8JT in the FamilySearch Family Tree...the entry it gave me to click on said that Antonio Tomei was born in Sankt Johann in Ahrin, Tirol, Austria. But then when I click on the link which actually took me to his person page...this page gives his birth place as San Giovanni. When I look at his siblings, their birthplace is Rosciano, Pescara, Abruzza, Italy. There is a source attached showing the event place as Rosciano, Pescara, Abruzzo, Italy...but the birthplace as San Giovanni. Looking at google maps, I can see there is a church in Rosciano and a small village called San Giovanni.
When I did google maps for Sankt Johann in Ahrin, Triol, Austria....it was in Austria not Italy. I am wondering if this an engineering error. Just my thoughts.

Sorry, was your question about the conflicting dates or places? I am assuming the dates are birth 1830 (estimate) and death 1832.

I agree that San Giovanni is a small village in Rosciano. I also agree that Ahrin, Triol, Austria isn't in Italy, even as a difference in language.
It also makes sense to me that it is a programming difference (I think that is what you mean by engineering). What I don't understand is what you mean by "I looked up the PID #GB7FB-8JT in the FamilySearch Family Tree"?
But I do see now that it is the standardized place coming up when I try to edit his birth.
Thank you Karen

The record doesn't list Italy as the country. San Giovanni = Sankt Johann as listed on the record. See:
- Ahrn, Alternativname von St. Johann, Dorf im Südtiroler Ahrntal
Ahrn, Alternative name for St. Johann, town in South Tyrol (Ahr valley).
Let me know if this isn't clear enough.

I think DangKwei is more knowledgeable on this than I am. I would go with his input.
