Can someone translate a Matrimoni-Processetti from 1826?
I have found two marriage records for Celestina Mauro (26), daughter of Generoso Mauro and Rosalba ****.
The first marriage was to Lorenzo Sacco on 25 September 1820. Film 100532439 image number 101.

The second marriage was to Vincenzo De Luca on 17 September 1826. Film 102548496 image number 93.

The Matrimoni-Processetti I would like translated is from 1826. The other records are to help with understanding the situation. The Parents of Vincenzo De Luca (27) are Giuseppe De Luca and Paduana Magnetta. Is there any information in the Processetti that would help understand what happened to the first marriage to allow a second marriage, such as did the first husband die (I could not find such a record) or was there a divorce? Were there any children born to the first marriage? I know this is a lot of work, so thank you very much. The Matrimoni-Processetti is on film number 100532609 and image numbers 72 through 86.

Thank you very much!!!

Hello!
My Italian is pretty basic, but I can read the documents pretty well where extracting genealogical info is concerned. Here's what I was able to extract from the introduction to the Processetti! (for a fuller translation, perhaps someone else can be of more service than I can):
Images 73-75:
In the year 1826 on the 17th day of the month of September, ...appeared Mr. Vincenzo de Luca, age 27, born in Diano, of a civil profession, living in Diano, son of the deceased Giuseppe, and of Paduana Magnetta...
and Mrs. Celesina Mauro, age 26, born in Sala, living in Sala Costa, widow of Lorenzo Sacco, daughter of Generoso, living with his daughter, and of Rosalba Pinto...
List of documents in the processetti:
- Extract of the groom's birth record
- Extract of the groom's father's death record
- Extract of the groom's grandfather's death record
- Consent of the groom's mother
- Extract of the bride's birth record
- Extract of the bride's former husband's death record
- I think this one is some kind of burial record for the first husband. I'll read through it and see what I can find out!
Witnesses: GIovanniantonio Bigotti, 30; Angelo Granderi, 21; Nicola d'Alto, 26; Giuseppe Ferraro, 36.
I'll keep working on this file and add a separate comment for each document.
Hope this helps!

Images 85-86: Publicazzioni of the 2nd marriage (Document 7?)
From what I can tell, this document just repeats information found in the introduction to the marriage file (and probably the same information you found in the marriage record for the couple). Let me know if you would like me to look for more details, though!
This was the last document in the marriage file.

Parents were legally married

Image 77 (Document 2):
S. Andreas Diani
Extract of the death of the groom's father:
Name of the deceased: Giuseppe de Luca
Wife: Paduana Magnetta
Date: 22 January 1823
It looks like this document lists an age (it is in the middle of the page, about even with the bottom of the marginal note) but it is difficult to read the number. It looks like 76 to me, but that seems rather old for his father to be if Vincenzo was only in his twenties. I would look for another document to help confirm his father's age.
This one was also in Latin.

Image 78 (Document 3):
S. Andreas Diani
Extract of the death of the groom's grandfather:
Date: 13 June 1786
Name: Gennaro de Luca
Wife: Francisca Capobianco
Age: 65 (so perhaps 76 is the correct age in the previous document!)
This document was written in Latin.

Image 79 (Document 5):
Voglia
Extract of the birth of Maria Celestina di Mauro:
Date: 27 March 1801
Parents: Generoso de Mauro and Rosalba ****
Name: Maria Celestina
They wrote out the order of the documents so nicely on the first page, but this one comes before the consent of the groom's mother. It is also in Latin.

Hailey,
I don't know how to thank you enough for doing such a wonderful job on this translation. I speak Portuguese and thought I was starting to understand? some of the Italian but when I saw the records in the Processetti I just couldn't get anywhere. My understanding of Italian needs some work, especially since I didn't realize that many of these records were in Latin not Italian. They just looked like Greek to me. I really thank your for finding the death date of the first husband. Everyone that has translated records for me has done a marvelous job, however, this one was very difficult and I knew it, I really appreciate the work that you have completed. You will be blessed from above. Thank you again. BAnderson
