With record hints, we’re asked to choose IS or IS NOT a match. What should we do for MAYBE ?

Do not do either, but wait until you can figure out the correct answer.

Just in passing ...
In regard, to "Record Hints"...
Your Question: What should we do for MAYBE ?
Firstly ...
IF, the "Record Hint", appears on your List of "Recommended Tasks"; and, you CANNOT "Decide" either way, if such is a "Match"; THEN, there are two (x2) options,
(1) IF, you are happy to LEAVE such on your List of "Recommended Tasks"; THEN, just LEAVE it, do nothing.
Whereas ...
(2) IF, you DO NOT want to 'see', such on your List of "Recommended Tasks"; THEN, simply select "Ignore".
As, when one selects "Ignore", that ONLY "Removes", the "Record Hint", from one's List of "Recommended Tasks"; but, DOES NOT, "Remove", the "Record Hint", from (ie. against) the individual/person.
[ ie. Such, just "Removes", the individual/person, from one's List of "Recommended Tasks" - nothing more ... ]
Secondly ...
Whereas ...
IF (ie. WHEN), the "Record Hint" appears, on the "Person/Details" page/screen, under "Research Help", for/against an individual/person; and, you CANNOT "Decide" either way, if such is a "Match"; THEN, just LEAVE it alone (ie. Do NOTHING); as, such can be left either, (1) for another User/Patron to "Decide"; or, (2) for a later date; when, you may be able to "Decide" (ie. Confirm either way).
As, there is NO "Option", for a MAYBE ...
Plus, there is NO "Option", to "Ignore" ...
[ And, NOR should there be ... ]

Brett, that one you mentioned "Recommended Tasks". that choice is there only. NOT in the Persons Pages. No choice, just Match or No Match.

This is WHY, I separated, my response, into TWO (x2) Parts ...
ie.
Firstly ... "Recommended Tasks", on one's "Home"/"Land" page/screen, of 'FamilySearch'
INGNORE
and,
Secondly ... Under the "Research Help" Section, on the "Person/Details" page/scree, of an individual/person
left either,
(1) for another User/Patron to "Decide"; or,
(2) for a later date; when, you may be able to "Decide" (ie. Confirm either way)
