I give it a try. I have added the old Norwegian words in parentheses after the translations. All of the translation might not be totally correct, because I don't know the English words.

Hi.
This is what it says as far as I can tell:
Niels Olsen Kjevelsrud, 5 Marts 1823, Kjölbergbro Onsö, 1. Mai 1853, Kjölbergelven 1/2 mil fra Fredrikstad, 1. Mai 1853, Chr. Larsen, ord. til Lærer 9/12-53. Död 1854.
Translated:
Niels Olsen Kjevelsrud, born March 5th 1823, at Kjölbergbro Onsö parish. Baptized May 1st 1853, in Kjölbergelven (river) about 3 US miles from Fredrikstad, by Sv.P. Larsen. Confirmed on May 1st 1853 by Chr. Larsen. ordained to teacher December 9th 1853. Died 1854.
In his death record his name is written: Niels Olsen Kjævelsröd.
In todays Norwegian ö=ø Kjølbergbro, Onsø, Kjølbergelven, Kjævelsrød
Best regards,
Siv Collett

Thank you both so much! We thought perhaps he died, because we did not see him on later census records. This clears it up. Thanks again!
