@Jann Salisbury It is possible that the person is revoking your access in the Connected Accounts section of the site settings. Might be something to ask him/her.

There are actually 2 places on FamilySearch where you can sign in to help another person. The first is “Help Others” (top right side when signed into the tree). This way does not stick but cancels when you leave it. The second way is “Helper Resources-Planner”, which is found by selecting “Help” on the top banner and then “Helper Resources” from the drop down menu. The Planner way of helping others is awesome and will save for one year. One of my favorite things about helping someone this way is under Plans. You can “Add a Relationship Path” which can easily show the relationship between the person you’re helping and his or her ancestor.
