RE: The Upcoming Feb 27th T&FH Leadership Instruction Livestream from Salt Lake:
I have two questions RE the following meeting: "Temple and Family History Leadership Instruction
General Authorities and General Officers of the Church will instruct ward and stake leaders in a livestreamed event on ChurchofJesusChrist.org/familyhistory on Thursday, February 27, 2020, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. mountain standard time."
Do any of you at the Stake/Ward level Livestream this into your Stake Center/Ward Building and watch it as a Group, or do most of you just let your invited ward members view it from their homes?
Also, I have received two invitations from Salt Lake to this and will probably get more. Do others on the invite list (like Bishoprics, EQ and RS Presidency Members over T&FH Work, Youth class Presidencies, WMLs and WMs etc) also receive personal invitations from Salt Lake or do we who are T&FHCs need to let them know? Thanks in advance for your answers!

In our stake there is no announced plan to watch it in a group (perhaps because it begins at 9:00pm in our time zone, and 10:00 would be a rough time to begin a group discussion about it?). Our stake president simply sent out an email personally to a number of leaders emphasizing the importance of the meeting, as well as another email highlighting the need to develop ward plans, hopefully before the Leadership meeting if not already done.
As for the attendance list, I have not heard whether others got the email from Salt Lake personally (nor have I asked). I did note that a word that seems to have been less and less used in recent years made an appearance in that letter - it listed those that "should" attend. Given who's going to be on the stage as announced so far, I think that's very telling, especially when last year there were three prominent members of the Twelve there, and three more Apostles present, along with members of the Seventy and other General Presidency members (Sister Jones, who also spoke). That's quite a high powered group to be convened together for a single meeting, which should convey a significant level of importance to stake presidents and bishops. And I also noted that the on-demand replay will not become available for two weeks after the live broadcast. There will be no early "make-up."

Our Bishop was excited to watch the broadcast as a group on the ward level. Because the YW/AP class and quorum presidencies are invited it pushes the numbers up so we are meeting at the church instead of in a home. I know the bishopric, EQ, RS and T&FHC all got their own invitations. I don't about the rest.

Our Stake FHCenter emailed us to come to her home early for potluck dinner before session. Week later Stake Pres. sent email that it would be broadcast at the Stake bldg and would just have light refreshment. So, wow this is HASTENING step for our Stake.

This is such an important meeting!! We invited everyone to come watch it last year in the chapel on the big screen. The leaders who came were inspired and became the wards with the most active family history programs. We are watching it together again this year. The invite needs to come from the stake presidency for the bishops and other leaders to think it's important!

Thanks Sister S!

Everyone with the callings listed in the announcement should have received an email from the Church directing them to a letter on the Church website providing an invitation and instructions for the meeting.

I was wondering this too! We are the T&FHL and were thinking about hosting a "watch party" for consultants at our home. I see that it is supposed to be broadcast to the buildings but I don't see where it will be watchable online or through BYU tv, or am I missing it????

I also initially thought the online option had been taken away with the announcement of the broadcast. However, it's still there on the last page of the download we all just received a couple of days ago. On that last page under the bold print section titled Live Broadcast (top of the last page) is the following:
"The live broadcast is available on the Church satellite system and ChurchofJesusChrist.org/familyhistory."
Here on the US east coast, the end time (10:00 pm) of the broadcast is a bit late for some (especially youth), so I suspect that if our local leadership decides to ask people to come to the buildings with satellite equipment, there will still be some that stay home due to distance and watch it online.

Our Stake has done this the past three years. Like your stake, as the numbers of those invited to attend has grown, we have moved into the chapel and the "big screen." It is also a good way to get those involved with T& FH in the wards better acquainted with others with similar callings and the Stake Consultants.

For the 2nd year in a row, all the T&FH Consultants (including our youth consultants) in our ward will watch it at the home of our EQ Counselor over Family History. It is a great way to feel the Spirit as a group and allows us to have a conversation after the broadcast. This way we are all unified moving forward into the new year.😇

Yes, we have invited all those who are invited to participate to come to the stake center for the broadcast.
