Need Help with Family Tree Glitch

    Glenda Osten

March 4, 2022 edited September 12, 2024 in Social Groups

After finding my biological father (deceased), I connected him to my family tree. Now my biological mother (deceased) appears on his family tree as a spouse. I am illegitimate, so I do not want my biological mother, who raised me, to publicly display on my biological father's family tree. I want to be respectful of his indiscretion so as not to embarrass his family. It may not be their choice to learn such information in this way. Worse case scenario, It could be very destructive to his family; best case scenario, it is unnecessary.

Sure I can remove him from my tree at this point, but it is MY tree and I want to see MY tree in tact, with both biological parents. My question is: How can display him on my tree without adding my mother to his tree?

@Glenda Osten perhaps someone over in the @FamilySearchTree will be able to help you with this :) I have tagged that group so your question will appear there as well:)
