    Requesting Records from Taiwan

    Sarah Stevens

I live in the US (Texas) and would like to request family records for my ancestors from Taiwan - things like birth and death certificates, household census records, etc. How can I get access to those? Is there an application online? Or if it must be done in-person, is there a service someone would recommend that can help?

    Many thanks,

    Sarah

      Hi Sarah,

Yes, you can. Here is an example of how to get them from the local district in Taiwan. THe link below has both Chinese and English languages to switch. You will need to prove the relationships.

      Good luck!
