Goblitz - trying to locate parish community
I am trying to locate a city that was listed as the birthplace of my relative. His name is Wenzel Schneider and was born 3 Jul 1835 in Goblitz, Austria according to his obituary. Census information lists home countries -- Bohemia, Austria. I would appreciate any information or ideas on how to locate his parish records.

There's a Göblitz mentioned on page 13 (image viewer page 21) of the Gemeindelexikon (https://www.familysearch.org/library/books/viewer/501314/?offset=0#page=21&viewer=picture&o=&n=0&q=), I think as a group of houses? (Rotte) somewhere in the vicinity of Holzleiten in the district of Amstetten in Lower Austria. Whatever it was, it must've been tiny, so it's highly unlikely to be the place you're looking for, and we're left with the usual query: any chance of a link to the image where this birthplace is named? Could it be the result of a misreading or other error?

I was told that Bavarian immigrants to La Crosse, WI mainly came from the Decin District. So after looking at the Decin municipalities, I am wondering if "Doubice" pronounced by a German speaking person could sound like "Goblitz" to a non-German?
