Birth Record Norwegian Translation

J Robinson.

1. I need a double check I found the correct birth record of Even Larsen and the father is Lars from Liahjell or Lihjell on page 54 (right page, left column), first record under 1786.
2. If the names say Even as child and father is Lars Liahjell or Lihjell can someone help me read the moveable feast day on this record so I can get a date?
3. When they add a moveable feast day on these records are they birth or a christening date?

A feast day date is almost always the christening date rather than the birth date.

Regarding whether a record shows a birth date or a christening date, keep in mind that these are church records concerned with church events. A general rule of thumb is that if there is only one date, it is always the christening date and never the birth date. I have only ever run across one exception.

The addition of a named Sunday or a feast day, just means the christening happened to be on a day with a name. Looking at the page you posted, there is not a single birth date recorded. They are all only christening dates.

Another place where the fact that these are records of church events plays out in these older records is with death dates. These older records are not death records, they are burial records. If there was no funeral, no record was made of someone's death.
